My Happiest Habit
If you've ever been a guest in my home, been on vacation with me, or had me to your house for a sleepover you know that I love to drink a big glass of warm water with lemon every morning.
What's brighter, happier, or more luscious than a lemon? Nothing! And if you start this happy habit you'll soon notice an uptick in your beauty and health.
First thing when you wake up, run the tap water until it's hot, fill up a 16-oz. glass or mug, squeeze in half of the juice of a lemon (organic is healthiest) and drink it down.
- It helps balance your acid/alkalaine levels, which helps you avoid getting sick (Think: fewer colds and also less chance of disease taking hold.)
- It helps your liver flush out the toxins from yesterday's bad choices.
- It helps your digestive tract better absorb nutrients.
- It reduces the puffiness from bad food choices and unbalanced pH.
- It fills you up.
- It gives you a head start on drinking the 8-10 glasses of water a day that you need for health and vitality.
- It adds some bright yellow to your morning. How cheerful!
